Originally a segment from a larger Power Hour video that I created, this video is an experience meant to stimulate your imagination through the sense of hearing.
Behind the Scenes
As a segment in the middle of a group drinking game, I'm always surprised at how engaged everyone is when this video comes on. When the lights get turned off and everyone closes their eyes, 100% of the focus gets brought to this imaginary world. My intention was to bring people on a journey through many different concepts and have the visual interpretations be unique to each listener. I added in some semi-visual enhancements that can still be noticed when the eyes are closed, such as flashes of light and dynamic crescendos. It really goes to show that sound design is a highly significant aspect of video editing.
