Our interpretation of the Spring Break music video being pitched in the old Hollywood silent film era. The story theme is the same as always: Bros vs. nerds, who wins?
Behind the Scenes
Making this video was a callback to my film school days at Emerson College. We spent a lot of time using old film equipment, such as the Bolex Camera, in order to understand the core principles along with the limitations. With so many tools and technology available now, it's a useful exercise to go back to the basics and tell a story without any dialogue, transitions, or use of color. Though it's not actual film, ironically I used a lot of digital filters and effects (like overlays, added noise, and random camera shakiness) to replicate the look and feel.
